Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to oversee financial activities and ensure accurate financial reporting across our ventures. You will play a critical role in guiding financial decisions by establishing strong financial controls, streamlining processes, and providing insightful analysis to support Ergatha’s mission. Our team is open to both part-time as well as full-time roles to this regaurd.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare – analyze and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
2. Manage bookkeeping, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
3. Ensure compliance with local, state, and national financial regulations and standards.
4. Handle taxation matters including timely filing of tax returns, GST compliance, and liaising with tax authorities.
5. Monitor and manage cash flow across Ergatha and its portfolio companies.
6. Implement and maintain internal control systems to safeguard financial assets.
7. Assist leadership in strategic decision-making by providing actionable financial insights.
8. Oversee payroll processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable operations.
9. Coordinate with external auditors and ensure smooth annual financial audits.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CA preferred.
2. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
3. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho Books) and Google Workspace. 
4. Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
5. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across departments.
7. High ethical standards and commitment to maintaining financial confidentiality.

Compensation :
Compensation ranges from 30,000 to 40,000 INR for part-time and 40,000 to 60,000 INR for full-time, based on experience.
